About
ACT Consulting is your partner from concept to implementation for all equity, diversity, and inclusion work.
When it comes to creating more equitable and inclusive cultures in the workplace, in our communities, and in our schools, we know it takes purposeful effort. Our programs empower everyone to exist authentically while giving participants the tools necessary to create long-term, sustainable, and brave spaces.
Our work focuses on three key pillars:
*Programs are interactive and can be adapted for virtual or in-person participation and can accommodate groups of all sizes.

North Carolina, through and through! Born in a small Piedmont town, educated in the mountains, with family rooted in the east. Though I now call New Orleans home (after a stop in Brooklyn), my heart is forever drawn back to NC.
-
My pup, Sattva. My niece. My unique, close-knit family. Hiking trails, beautiful spatial design, and the privilege of holding space for others to connect through our shared humanity in meaningful conversations.
-
I serve on the board of a New Orleans charter school and the city’s Yom HaShoah Committee. I also strive to be a thoughtful neighbor, using my privilege to advocate for our historically Black neighborhood as it faces ongoing threats of environmental racism.
-
I earned a BA in Sociology from UNC Asheville with a focus on the intersections of race, equity, and economic disparity, an MSEd in Educational Leadership from Baruch College, and an MS in Interior Design from Pratt Institute, with a focus on K-12 school architecture.

I once sewed my finger into an industrial sewing machine while racing to finish a massive textile installation for a wedding. Lesson learned: deadlines and needles don’t mix well!
